What is Trivia Night?
Trivia Night (also called a Quiz Night or a Pub Quiz) is a fun, social game where teams answer questions over several rounds. Each round has its own theme: cinema, music, pop culture, history, sport, and more. The team with the most correct answers at the end wins. No experience needed.
How does the evening work?
You sit with your team, the emcee reads questions aloud, your team quietly discusses amongst yourselves, and you write your answers on a sheet. Questions come in rounds, each with a theme. After each round, sheets are collected and scored, and we announce which teams are in the lead.
Who can play? Do I need to be an expat?
Anyone. Expats, locals, students, visitors. All you need is curiosity and a sense of humor.
Do I need a team?
Yes. Minimum 2 people, maximum 4. Bring friends, coworkers, or family.
What if I come alone?
Come anyway. We’ll place you on a team with other solo players or a group that has room.
Why is there a ticket price and deposit?
Your ticket is your deposit. It holds your team’s table, so a reserved table doesn’t sit empty and block another team. It also covers the food and drink included with your ticket, and helps the venue prep food and staff for a full room and run the sound and screens.
Is it in English?
The emcee hosts in English. Questions are shown on screen in both English and Vietnamese.
What are the questions about?
Cinema, music, history, geography, sport, science, pop culture, and more.
How does my team win?
Each correct answer earns a point. The team with the most points after the final round wins. If two teams tie, a wager question decides it.
Can I ask for a hint or repeat?
Repeat, yes. Just ask and the emcee will read the question again. Hint, no. That’s part of the fun.
Can I use my phone?
No. Nope. Uh-uh. Not a chance. Can NOT. We prefer phones in pockets or screen side down on the table while questions are live. It’s more fun when everyone plays fair.
Can I come just to watch?
Yes. Spectators are welcome to sit, order, and enjoy the night. Only registered players answer questions and compete.
